About APPIA
The Anatomical Pathology Patient Interest Association was founded and incorporated in 2016. APPIA is the leading anatomic pathology organization formed by industry partners who actively engage with individuals and organizations and across all phases of specimen acquisition, preparation and examination. We are a resource to those who contribute to quality patient outcomes.

Benefactor Director Fangru Lian, MD (Leica Biosystems) Dr. Fangru Lian is a pathologist and Senior Medical Director at Leica Biosystems. She has greater than 20 years of experience in dermatopathology, anatomic and clinical pathology in academic and diagnostic industry. Her primary interests include companion diagnostics, digital pathology, immunotherapy, and multiplexing development. She is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and member of the Digital Pathology Society. She is an expert in dermatopathology, digital pathology and companion diagnostics. | Benefactor Director Dionne Roberge, PMP, HT (ASCP) cm (Roche Diagnostic Solutions) Dionne has over 30 years of industry experience in the anatomic pathology market, as a laboratorian, technical support representative, sales representative, sales and marketing manager, project manager and an experienced project leader. She started her career at the University of Connecticut where she practiced histotechnology for 15 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and is a board certified Project Manager. Today she leads on market and development teams and has experience in companion diagnostic and system automation development at Roche Tissue Diagnostics located in Tucson, AZ. |
